I think there's a lot of lessons still to be fully learned from the saga, both in terms of how to think about the rules, and how to make a reference like this in the first place.

Prompted by the latest round of The Session (a monthly group blogging event, recently resurrected) to think about "the best beer you can drink at home right now", I kind of have to preface everything with a belated update as to what counts as "home" — but, don't panic, the eventual answer is still a deliciously boring lager.

The photos don't convey how cold it was down there over the weekend, but as a Wellingtonian a dose of bracing Southern ocean air did me good. Sadly none of the beer was around to take with us — so we had a Thermos of Earl Grey tea instead. (Last photo is a flashback to twelve years ago, when we took the beer to another Gunnamatta, in NSW.)
