Dark, not-lasting bubbles. No sharp bitterness. Light coffee flavour. Smooth for a stout. Bottle cond..<\/p>\n<p><strong>Afterthoughts, October 2010:<\/strong> The commercial description (online at RateBeer.com) calls this the &#8220;worlds first aged stout&#8221;. Which seems implausible. And again calls out the brewery&#8217;s strange relationship with the apostrophe. The family name is simply Cooper. <a title=\"Diary II entry #14: Coopers Original Pale Ale (the bottle for which was signed, in an awesome Geek Moment)\" href=\"http:\/\/philcook.net\/beerdiary\/2010\/09\/23\/coopers-original-pale-ale\/\" target=\"_blank\">I&#8217;ve met the latest heir-in-charge, Tim Cooper<\/a>. But they seem determined to neither be Cooper&#8217;s Brewery nor even Coopers&#8217; Brewery.
