The other organic offering from Emerson&#8217;s (together  with the <a title=\"Emerson's Oatmeal Stout\" href=\"http:\/\/philcook.net\/beerdiary\/2008\/11\/05\/emersons-oatmeal-stout\/\" target=\"_blank\">previously-noted<\/a> Oatmeal Stout) so they made something of a  nice pair as First Drinks for George and I, having installed ourselves  early in the pub.<\/p>\n<p>The Pils is a slightly-hazy glowing gold, with a  very white-winey kind of a feel to it; nice and complex, drawn-out  flavours. Not as sharp or as dry as a pilsner might often be, but in  this case, all the better for it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Afterthoughts, November 2010:<\/strong> Very rare, even for a \u2018<a title=\"Posts tagged 'Lazy Facebook diary entries'\" href=\"http:\/\/philcook.net\/beerdiary\/tag\/facebookers\/\" target=\"_blank\">Lazy Facebook diary entry<\/a>\u2019 that I&#8217;d take a snap and have a wee ramble about <em>someone else&#8217;s<\/em> beer.
